On October 20, the European Fund of Slavic Written Culture and Literature hosted a gathering for friends and partners of the Foundation. The conversation brought together discussions on forthcoming publishing initiatives with reflections on academic years, professional journeys, and cherished family traditions.
Yulia Krasulya, Art Director of the Foundation, met with Prof. Jozef Dolník to discuss publishing endeavors and outline upcoming stages in the preparation of a poetry collection.
Ms. Libuša Kľučková shared her memories of studying at Moscow State University and spoke about her family’s tradition of commemorating Victory Day on May 9. Her personal accounts captured the attention of the editorial board of the European Bulletin (Evropeyskiy Vestnik), and her contributions are scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue.
The discussion was also joined by Jozef Matušica, who completed his aviation training in Ulyanovsk. He spoke about a recent reunion with former classmates from the Military Aviation Academy in Košice (Vysoká vojenská letecká škola).
Gatherings of this kind help preserve living memory and lay the groundwork for new publications. Through the personal stories of the Foundation’s friends, lasting connections between individuals, countries, and generations are brought to light.
