On October 15, 2026, the 3rd International Academic Conference “The Language of Culture and the Culture of Language” opens in Surgut. The conference roster includes Surgut State Pedagogical University, Brest State A. S. Pushkin University, and L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, alongside leading universities from Russia, Slovakia, and other countries.
The European Foundation of Slavic Written Language and Culture in Slovakia will participate in the conference in absentia. A welcoming address on behalf of the Foundation and its President, Professor Igor Bondarenko, was prepared by Natalia Yadryshnikova, Vice President of the Foundation and Editor-in-Chief of the European Herald journal.
The message highlights the more than decade-long partnership between the Foundation and Surgut State Pedagogical University, highlighting joint initiatives that support Russian language education in Slovakia. Among these milestones was the Russian Language Day held on September 25 in Bratislava, which brought together language educators from across Europe.
This participation continues the Foundation’s sustained engagement with academic and teaching communities, dedicated to language preservation, cultural traditions, and international educational dialogue.
