Slovak cosmonaut Ivan Bella will present a series of books "Slovakia from above"

A total of 40 books from the “Slovakia from above” series, published over two pandemic years, will be presented on May 7 at the air show in Piestany by the first Slovak cosmonaut Ivan Bella. As the aerial photographer and author of the book series idea Milan Paprchka informed, Bella will symbolically sprinkle the books with aviation fuel.

A festive event "Peace to Children!" dedicated to the International Children's Day was held in Bratislava

On May 29, 2022, the European Foundation of Slavonic Literature and Culture and the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture held a festive event "Peace to the Children!", dedicated to the International Children's Day. Its participants were children aged 6 to 12 with their parents.
International Children's Day is celebrated annually on June 1 in more than 30 countries and is one of the oldest international holidays.

Exhibition of children's fiction books in Ukrainian "Fiction for children: an easy way to raise a genius"

On May 27, 2022, an exhibition of children's books was held at the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and in the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture, in the  Ukrainian Classroom in Bratislava, as well as an open lesson "Fiction for children: an easy way to raise a genius". To raise a smart child, it is enough to show the kids the multifaceted and colorful world of fiction, as well as instill a love of reading. The love of reading will expand the horizons of the child, develop his imagination and help determine his life goals.

Victory Day over fascism and the 77th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War

Today, May 8, 2022, President Zuzana Chaputova marked the 77th anniversary of the end of World War II and Victory Day over fascism by laying wreaths at the cemeteries in Zvolen, where fallen Soviet and Romanian soldiers are buried.
