Lesson-reflection on the theme "Lessons of Dostoevsky" was held in Bratislava

On December 13, 2022, a reflection lesson on the topic “Dostoevsky’s Lessons” was held at the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture as part of the educational project “Dostoevsky: a writer and a person”.
More than 70 people took part in the event. Among them are gymnasium students and teachers of I. Horvat and A. Einstein gymnasiums, students of Russian language courses at the Spektr language school.
The event was prepared and hosted by the European Foundation of Slavonic Literature and Culture together with the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture.
After a lecture on the most important stages of the writer's life, the participants took an active part in the discussion about the connection between the writer's biography and his work, tried to answer the question: "The writer's novels would also be brilliant if he himself had not stood on the scaffold, had not survived hard labor, had not struggled with a vicious addiction?
During the inspection of the photo-documentary exhibition “Dostoevsky. Episodes”, provided by the “Literary and Memorial Museum named after A.I. F.M. Dostoevsky" in St. Petersburg, the guys enthusiastically and talked a lot about the peculiarities of the worldview and the originality of Fyodor Mikhailovich's work.
