Educational project "Dostoevsky: writer and man" launched in Slovakia

On November 25, 2022, the first event of the project took place at the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture - an interactive lesson "Dostoevsky: a writer and a person".
More than 60 people attended the lesson, which was prepared and conducted by the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture together with the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture.
Students of Slovak gymnasiums enjoyed watching video clips from the life of the writer, quotes from his works, which best demonstrated the relevance of eternal spiritual issues facing man at all times.
Then the participants of the meeting watched a short cartoon based on the story "Christ's Boy on the Christmas Tree". This work, which Fyodor Mikhailovich greatly appreciated and often read at literary evenings, touched the hearts of modern students, made them think about mercy, faith and compassion.
At the end of the event, everyone could get acquainted with the photo-documentary exhibition “Fyodor Dostoevsky. Episodes”, provided by the “Literary and Memorial Museum named after A.I. F.M. Dostoevsky" in St. Petersburg.
Within the framework of the educational project "Dostoevsky: writer and man" a whole series of events is planned: book exhibitions, review exhibitions, literary hours and seminars.
