Literary hour on the theme of the story of F.M. Dostoevsky's "Christ's Boy on the Christmas Tree" took place in Bratislava.

On December 7, 2022, on the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, a literary hour was held at the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture on the theme of F.M. Dostoevsky "The Boy at Christ on the Christmas Tree" This is one of the events within the framework of the educational project "Dostoevsky: writer and man"
The event was attended by high school students and teachers of Andrej Vrabl's gymnasium from Levice, students of the Spektr language school.
The event was prepared and hosted by the European Foundation of Slavonic Literature and Culture together with the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture.
With the help of an interactive presentation and photo-documentary exhibition “Fyodor Dostoevsky. Episodes”, provided by the “Literary and Memorial Museum named after A.I. F.M. Dostoevsky" in St. Petersburg, those present got acquainted with the difficult stages of the writer's life, which led him to faith.
Dostoevsky's admirers were interested to learn about the so-called "great pentatuch", which included the writer's latest novels: "Crime and Punishment", "Idiot", "Demons", "Teenager" and "The Brothers Karamazov".
The basis of the event was watching a cartoon filmed based on the philosophical story of Fyodor Mikhailovich “The Boy at Christ on the Christmas Tree”. According to the writer's wife, this story was one of those works of art that the writer most valued at the end of his life. Those present followed the plot of the story very carefully. Then they adequately answered various questions related to the writer's work, discussed the meaning of the word "mercy".
The meeting turned out to be solid and touching, the students expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the fascinating stories and interesting tasks.
