International conference on the role of the media in the relations between Russia and European countries in Budapest

On the 5th of October 2017, the 6th International Conference "Russia and Europe: Contemporary Problems of Modern Journalism" was held in Budapest. This Conference is annually held in various countries of the world. It took place in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, San Marino and Bratislava, and each time attracted genuine interest and support from journalists, media leaders, diplomats, scientists and political scientists.

Excessive act of the loner

On the 1st of October 2017, on Sunday evening, a man shouting "Allahu Akbar" threw a knife on passers-by, who were at the station of Saint-Charles in Marseilles. As a result, two girls of 17 and 20 years old died. By the knife attack, the killer cut the throat of one girl, another girl got a knife hit in her stomach. The railway station was urgently evacuated. The police this time managed to shoot the assailant in place, so the number of victims did not increase multiple.

Days of Russian Cinema in Slovakia

On the 27th of September 2017 in Bratislava in the cinema Lumiere (Kino Lumiere), was held the opening ceremony of the film festival "Days of Russian Cinema". The festival has already become traditional and will last for a week.

The festival opened with the film "Anna Karenina: The History of Vronsky" by the famous Russian producer Karen Shakhnazarov. Dramaturgy of the work of the famous Russian writer Lev Tolstoy, unique large-scale video shooting, accurate historical interiors and costumes, modern special effects made a strong impression on the audience.
