International scientific seminar of Russianists and philologists was held in Bratislava

On the 11th of April 2018 the IV International Scientific Seminar on "Language, Literature and Culture as a face of Inter-cultural Communication" was held at the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava.

The seminar was held for several days in three countries – in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The main task is to unite specialists in the field of the Russian language from different countries. The Czech Association of Russianists, the Czech-Russian Society, Charles University in Prague, the Prague Economic University (Higher School of Economics),  West-Czech University (Pilzen), the Russian Center TERIS (Pilzen) , European Fund of Slavic Literature and Culture, Russian Center,  (Bratislava) were co-organizers of this events.

In Bratislava came the Russists, linguists and philologists from Russia, Czech Republic and Slovakia. They represented universities, gymnasiums and schools of various cities - Moscow, Tula, Vladivostok, Pilzen, Prague and Bratislava.

Leading specialists and scientists in the field of linguistics from the Moscow State Institute named after M.V. Lomonosov made presentations. Doctor of Philology, Professor Dobrosklonskaya T.G. in her speech drew attention to the peculiarities of cultural and language contacts in the era of informatization of society. Doctors of Philology, Professors Baranova L.L. and Fedorova E.S. spoke about the role of culture and classical Russian prose in the knowledge of language and the importance of speech etiquette in the context of inter-cultural communication.

With great interest, participants listened to a report on the topic of modern language transformation, discussed aspects of inter-cultural communication in the "global world" - Russia, the Czech Republic, Europe, the United States, East and West. All reports were accompanied by presentations on the screen.

The seminar was complemented by the presentation of the book by Professor I.I. Bondarenko and Professor I. Doleyshy "Chronicle of the Cossacks. Cossacks in central Europe. " Each participant with gratitude accepted as a gift a book with signatures of authors.

After the end of the scientific part of the seminar, participants visited the exhibition of paintings "Slovakia in the works of Russian artists", which is presented in the halls of the gallery Aircraft.

In the end, all participants gathered in the Russian Center for a cup of tea. They talked about cooperation, the role of the Russian language in the modern world, new methods of teaching in the era of total computerization. Guests expressed gratitude for the organization of the seminar and the opportunity to communicate with leading experts.

The "Russian world.Ru" magazine was given to each participant. Guests left the seminar in high spirits and with the desire to come back again.
