Day of Russia with the EFSPIK: Culture, History, and Partnership

On June 12, as part of the celebration of the Day of Russia, the European Fund for Slavic Writing and Culture (EFSPIK) and the Russian Center at EFSPIK held a series of events in collaboration with friendly organizations and partner educational institutions.

One of the key events was the transfer of part of the exhibition "Russia. Unique Regions and People" to the bilingual gymnasium named after I. Khorvat, where Russian language instruction is provided. The art director of the fund, Yulia Krasulya, presented the main thematic blocks of the exhibition and handed a Letter of Appreciation to the Russian language teacher, Yana Roskorkova, for her contribution to the promotion of Russian culture and language. The exhibition will serve as a valuable methodological resource for teachers and students in the Russian language section.

An exhibition of books titled "Russia. History and Modernity" was organized at the fund's office. Guests of the fund and attendees of Russian language courses had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with rare and unique publications dedicated to the history, culture, and architecture of Russia—from ancient times to the present day.

As part of the festive events, a meeting was held with a member of the Military History Club from the city of Nitra, Slavomir Fialka. On behalf of the fund's president, Professor I.I. Bondarenko, he was presented with a Letter of Appreciation for his active participation in the fund's patriotic initiatives and events. The vice president of the fund, Natalia Yadryshnikova, discussed with the guest the prospects for joint work, including projects aimed at preserving the memory of Soviet pilots who participated in the liberation of Slovakia during the Great Patriotic War. She also congratulated Slavomir Fialka on receiving a Commemorative Medal in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising and the end of World War II.
