Sunday readings “Lets read together the works of A. Chekhov”

On the 2nd of February 2020, in the framework of the Sunday Reading project, a lesson was held in Russian for children. It was dedicated to the 160th birthday of the famous Russian writer A.P. Chekhov. The theme was: “Lettering according to the humorous stories of A. Chekhov.”

The lesson was attended by children of Russian and Ukrainian compatriots. They got acquainted not only with the humorous stories of A. Chekhov, but also examined illustrations for his works by famous painters and cartoonists. They found out why A. Chekhov himself could not stand “children's literature”.

We got acquainted with Lettering technique, a way to beautifully draw and style letters, to make a unique inscription. Basically, the guys drew the famous signature of Anton Pavlovich.

Lets Read Together is a free Sunday lesson. Its goal is to involve children and adolescents in the process of non-standard, fascinating reading of classical and high-quality modern literature.
