Gymnasium named after Albert Einstein received books in Russian as a gift

Every year in October, the Albert Einstein Bilingual Grammar School in Bratislava celebrates The Day of the School. Gymnasium has existed since 1953 and is one of the oldest in Slovakia. In bilingual classes students study Russian language, separate subjects in Russian are also taught.

A.L. Fedotov - Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Slovakia took part in school celebrations. In his speech, he spoke about the possibilities of training and working in Russia, about internships and summer camps “Artek”, “Orlenok” and about the new children's camp “Ocean” in the Far East.

It was a great gift to receive books in Russian from the "Russian World" Foundation on this day. The head of the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture - Alexander Bushuiev congratulated students and teachers with the school holiday and presented a collection of books for school. Among the presented books were textbooks and fairy tales, poetry and prose of famous Russian authors. Souvenirs with the symbols of the "Russian World" Foundation were also handed over.

Students prepared questions for the ambassador. They were interested in everything - his biography, relations between the two countries, the opportunity to study at MGIMO, psychology issues in the work of a diplomat, and much more.

In conclusion, students made stories about their impressions of trips to Moscow, Voronezh, St. Petersburg and Crimea. Students read poetry and prose in Russian, sang the song "My Dear Old Men." An amazing warm atmosphere of friendship and understanding reigned.
