On January 13, RFL teachers of EFSPaK participated in a webinar titled "Phonetics and Grammar in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language to Foreigners."


The webinar covered the following topics:

  • Russian grammar: specific features of teaching it to foreigners

  • Effective material delivery for foreign learners Sociocultural adaptation of foreigners

  • Phonetics and pronunciation training

  • Psychology, linguistics, and cultural studies in teaching RFL

The webinar participants had the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered by Elena Gavriilovna Kovaleva, a senior teaching methodologist at the Russian Language Training Center and an associate professor at MIRBIS International Business School.

E.G. Kovaleva has 40 years of experience in the field of teaching methodology and is a speaker at leading international conferences on the challenges of Russian as a foreign language. She is the author of 25 articles and publications. Her research interests include the integrated teaching of different types of speech activities in RFL methodology.
