The results of the Week of the Russian language for the countries of Europe and the CIS have been summed up.

 

On October 29, 2021, the closing and summing up of the results of the international educational project "Week of the Russian language for the countries of Europe and the CIS" took place.

The Russian Language Week was held online from October 25 to October 29.

The main organizers of the project are the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, Surgut State Pedagogical University (SurSPU). The participating countries are: Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Libya, Qatar, Spain, USA, Jordan and the CIS countries. The participants from the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture were the director and staff, students and teaching staff of Russian language courses.

As part of the project, reports, lectures, dialogues, interactive excursions, round tables, quizzes, entertaining lessons, as well as discussions of topical issues related to the study and promotion of the Russian language in the world took place.

A special place in the program of events was given to the 200th anniversary of the birth of F.M. Dostoevsky, the great Russian thinker, philosopher and writer.

On the day of summing up, a meeting of the working group was held, where further steps were outlined for the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects.

The educational project began its work in 2020 with the aim of developing international humanitarian cooperation, supporting and promoting the Russian language abroad with the participation of teachers, Russianists, students and pupils of Slovakia. Representatives from 15 countries are currently taking part in the project.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also noted the importance of this project during an online briefing held the day before.
