22.06.2016 in the hall of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bratislava was held the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
The event began with a story about the one of the saddest and terrible days in the country's history - the start of the Great Patriotic War. The importance of preserving the historical memory in our time was especially emphasized. In a sign of memory for those who were killed in the Great Patriotic War and in the Second World War the Candle of Memory was lighted. All participants honored a memory of all those who gave their lives for a peace with the minute of silence.
On 22.06.2016 in Bratislava the commemorative events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Nazi Germany's attack on the USSR were held.
On this day Russian compatriots traditionally pay tribute to those who died in the Great Patriotic War.
