The Holy Trinity is one of the twelve most important dates in the Orthodox world. Its celebration falls on the fiftieth day from Easter - in 2023 this Sunday, June 4th.

The first of June is International Children's Day in many countries. It was decided in 1925 at the World Conference on Child Welfare in Geneva. It has been celebrated in Slovakia since 1952. The original idea of the holiday was to draw society's attention to the need to protect children's rights. On this day, parents are usually with their little ones, and spend it mostly by going to the countryside, taking part in various celebrations and travelling. Children receive sweets and gifts, but the most important thing adults can give them is their time!

Children's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world on June 1st.
For the first time, Children's Day was celebrated in 1950. Moreover, this happened immediately in more than 50 states.

Every year on May 24, residents of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria and many other Slavic countries celebrate the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture. The holiday is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius, who created the alphabet and gave rise to Slavic writing.
In honor of this day, the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture held an educational online campaign "Day of Slavic Literature and Culture". The history of the holiday”, which was attended by students of Russian language courses, members of the conversation club, library readers.

In honor of the International Museum Day, which is celebrated annually on May 18, a book exhibition "Museums - treasures of art" has opened in the library of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture. The exhibition will introduce you to the diversity of the world of museums. The exposition presents the world famous museums of Russia, Slovakia, galleries of the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Greece, USA.

Mother's Day is among the symbolic international days that have their historical value. It is not a traditional national holiday or non-working day. It is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May. According to these rules, Mother's Day will be celebrated on May 14, 2023.
This day originated roughly in the period of antiquity. In various cultures, women were celebrated as givers of life. The English Mothering Sunday, which originated roughly in the 16th century, is considered to be the predecessor of this holiday. Mother's Day took its current form at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
