EXHIBITION OF BOOKS: "WITH BOOKS ON THE ROADS OF CHILDHOOD"

On August 7, 2022, the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture opened an exhibition of books on the topic: “With books along the paths of childhood”.
The exposition of the exhibition presents a large set of children's literature on this topic from the library fund of the European Fund of Slavic Literature and Culture and the Fund of Ukrainian Literature and Culture. The exhibition presents a set of books for children of different ages and interests.

The magical world of Harry Potter and fantasy creatures

On June 8, 2022, teachers from the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and from the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture held an open lesson and introduced children and library visitors to the work of the famous writer JK Rowling (b. July 31, 1965). J. K. Rowling is a British writer, screenwriter and film producer, best known as the author of the Harry Potter series of novels. During the event, young readers learned interesting facts from the biography of JK Rowling, discovered the wonderful world of Harry Potter and fantastic creatures, and also revealed the images of the heroes of the works.

Thematic lesson on the topic "The Legacy of Cyril and Methodius"

On July 5, Slovakia celebrates a public holiday - the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius. One of the important pages in the history of Slovakia is connected with the names of these saints and their great mission to Great Moravia (part of Great Moravia was also located on the territory of present-day Slovakia). The great mission contributed to the strengthening of the Christian faith among the Slavic peoples, made an invaluable contribution to the development of their culture. The names of Cyril and Methodius are associated with the invention of one of the first Slavic alphabets, with the help of which Slavic translations of liturgical books were recorded.

Thematic lesson on "Meet the Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This year, June 29 marks the 122nd anniversary of the birth of the famous French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the author of the famous story of the little prince. Teachers of the European Foundation OF Slavonic Literature and Culture and teachers of the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture introduced the children to the work of the famous French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

We would like to inform you that to the library of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and to the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture in Bratislava have received novelties of children's literature in Ukrainian language, intended not only for young readers, but also for older schoolchildren. This is a variety of multifaceted topics that reveal the mysterious world of space and man, children's adventure literature, European teenage books, fairy tales of foreign writers and others.

Slovak language courses from March 1, 2022

The European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture is opening admission to Slovak language courses for beginners to learn the Slovak language and for those wishing to improve their knowledge and skills.
