On December 14,2020, at the Russian Center of the European Foundation for Slavic Literatureand Culture in Bratislava, a meeting was held with the newly appointedExtraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in theSlovak Republic - I.B. Bratchikov.
First of all, theAmbassador got acquainted with the staff of the Russian Center and itsresources. The staff of the center spoke about the work of the Russian languagecourses and the library, cooperation with bilingual gymnasiums and Slovakschools, the organization of art and thematic exhibitions, the holding ofseminars of Russianists together with Russian universities, about activitieswith compatriots and the work of painting studio, victories in olympiads andcompetitions, and much more.
The Ambassadorwas particularly interested in the activities of the Aircraft gallery and theexhibition center, which, through the perform of art exhibits, are used by thecenter to popularize the Russian language and culture. He got acquainted withthe exposition of the art exhibition of contemporary art "Angel'sEye" by the Russian painter Konstantin Khudyakov.
There were alsoquestions about the peculiarities of the center's activities in the restrictiveconditions of the pandemic. The photographs reflect the activities of thecenter.
The meeting wasattended by employees and teachers of the Russian Center, employees of theEuropean Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture. The meeting took place ina warm atmosphere.
