The Slovakian team won the international competition dedicated to S.A. Yesenin

On September 23, 2020, the international online quiz "Your friend Sergey Yesenin ..." was held.

The organizers of the quiz were the Russian World TV and Radio Company and the Moscow State Museum of S.А. Yesenin. The competition is dedicated to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet of the early 20th century - Sergei Yesenin.

The intellectual quiz was attended by employees and students of Russian centers from different cities of the world: Damascus (Syria), Pisa (Italy), Milan (Italy), Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), Granada (Spain), Bratislava and Levice (Slovakia), in total 52 participants.

The team from Slovakia, prepared by the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, took part in the competition. The main team was represented by the best students of the Podluzhanka school in Levice and their teachers of the Russian language. The team was trained by school teacher Vladimir Mosienko and representative of the Russian Center Natalia Chumak.

Schoolchildren enthusiastically studied the details of Yesenin's biography and his works. During the competition, it was necessary to complete 10 difficult tasks. The winner was determined in an additional competition.

As a result of the quiz, the team of Slovakia with the positive name "Merry Boys" won a worthy victory in an exciting and interesting game. Prizes and awards await the winners.

The joy of victory was shared by the staff of the Russian Center in Bratislava and students  from the small old Slovak town of Levice.
