Russian Language Day is an international day dedicated to the Russian language, established by the United Nations in 2010, and celebrated on June 6, the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. In the Russian Federation, the holiday was established in 2011 as a national holiday.
