International Mother Language Day was established at the UNESCO General Conference in 1999 and has been celebrated worldwide since 2000 to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
The festive meeting was attended by representatives of public organizations, compatriots with children, teachers of Slovak and Russian educational institutions with their students, students of Russian language courses at the Russian Center in Bratislava.
