The opening of the Center "Slovo" of slavic literature in Moscow

May 24, 2019, the Slavic Literature Center "Slovo" ("Word") was opened in Moscow. This is a large-scale museum and educational complex, which has no analogues in Russia. It has been opened at the All-Russian Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNH), in the renovated pavilion No. 58 “Agriculture”, on the Day of Slavic Literature.

The exhibition space occupies more than 1000 square meters and contains the exhibition on the emergence and development of writing from antiquity to the present days. Center "Slovo" is designed for both adult and children's audience. Thematic excursion routes have been developed.

The exposition contains many multimedia and interactive exhibits, which allow to study the history of each letter, old books and objects separately.

Educational programs, master classes and thematic discussions on the history of writing, art, literature and many other aspects of Russian and Slavic culture will be held at the "Slovo" Slavic Literature Center.
