On the 5th of April 2018 in the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava an open lesson on Russian language and culture was held.

High school students from school No. 4 in Levice came for a visit. This ancient Slovak fortified city conducts its annals from the 12th century and is located 150 km east of Bratislava. A whole class has arrived and led by its teacher of the Russian language.

At first the students got acquainted with the activities of the Russian Center, with its library, computer class and other resources. Then a film about Moscow was shown with a study of the lexicon on the theme "Moscow is the capital of Russia". The students showed good knowledge of the Russian language, learned the famous sights of the city, asked questions about the number of residents and cars on the streets of Moscow.

As the main part of the open lesson, the theme "Art" was chosen. The students studied the main terms on the subject, examined the types of arts and paintings, separately discussed the techniques of writing landscapes and portraits on the example of the works of the Russian painter Karl Brulov.

With modern types of painting, students were able to get acquainted during the tour of the exhibition of paintings "Slovakia in the works of Russian artists", with the organizers of which were the Russian Center and the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture. The exhibition presents more than 100 works, which are made in different techniques, and on each picture was painted one of the landscapes of Slovakia - a village, a fortress, a city or nature.

Following the visit to the exhibition, a quiz was conducted in Russian, in which the students were able to show newly acquired knowledge. The winners received prizes. As the main prize was awarded the book of Professor I.I. Bondarenko and Professor I. Doleyshy "Chronicle of the Cossacks. Cossacks in central Europe. "

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and ended with a tea party before the long journey home.
